Railway
technology

Due to the high fire protection requirements (EN 45545) for railway vehicles, highly flame-retardant systems are usually used in railway technology. The processing of such systems requires units that can meter solid and sometimes abrasive flame retardants as fillers in the polyol. ISOTHERM can draw on a wealth of experience in this field and offers optimum solutions tailored to these special requirements.

  • Haptics and durability

  • Sustainable and environmentally friendly

  • Traceability

Polyurethanes, polyurea systems and polyaspartics are used in a wide range of applications in railway technology. For railway carriage interiors, these are usually highly flame-retardant systems

due to the high fire protection requirements (EN 45545) for railway vehicles. The processing of such systems requires units that can meter solid and sometimes abrasive flame retardants as fillers in the polyol.

ISOTHERM can draw on a wealth of experience in this field and offers optimum solutions tailored to these special requirements. The systems we have developed for railway technology include spraying systems for the automated special protective coating of safety-relevant components, which are used worldwide.

However, railway technology also includes track construction and rail infrastructure. For example, our casting units are also used to produce molded parts and insulating mats for structure-borne noise and vibration sound insulation, which are used as vibration dampers in rail construction and track fastening.
