Whether for the manufacture of plug housings, the potting of printed circuit boards, the casting on of grommets to cable harnesses, the sealing of connectors or the dimensionally stable sheathing of cable harnesses with integrated fastening elements, polyurethane can be used for all of these applications.
Polyurethane systems are characterised by high dimensional stability and abrasion resistance. Thanks to their good adhesion to many other materials, polyurethanes guarantee long-lasting protection for electronic components, cables and plugs. Depending on requirements, very small shot weights from 2 g can also be achieved with the aid of specially developed metering devices. In addition, the increasing flame retardancy requirements, e.g. in accordance with UL 94 V-0, make it necessary to use higher quantities of filler.
