Construction

In the construction industry, polyurethane is used in the form of industrially manufactured, prefabricated elements such as foamed insulating panels or mineral wool panels bonded with PU. Polyurethanes (PUR) or polyureas (PUA) are also used in construction for Continuous on-site thermal and hydro insulation.

In addition to the aforementioned industrially manufactured, prefabricated elements such as foamed insulation panels or mineral wool panels bonded with PU, pipe half-shells or fitting insulations are used to insulate water or gas pipes. Extremely high-quality foam mats are used for vibration damping under concrete foundations. PU-coated formwork tubes manufactured in place produce smooth column surfaces in the construction of multi-storey car parks.

ISOTHERM builds systems for mobile applications in construction for continuous on-site thermal and hydro insulation, flat roof sealing, emergency tank coating for tank units, car park deck coating, bridge sealing and for concrete sealing in sewage treatment units. These systems are mobile coating systems, installed in trucks or trailers and equipped with hose kits up to 90 m long.
